Whilst at MuddyBoots Software I was responsible for the design and usability of the company’s suite of products. Part of my role was to liaise with all of the teams and create a style guide each of the teams could adhere to.
Each product needed a similar look and feel but often the individual teams designed what they thought looked best. The style guide was created online with code snippets too which ensured members of the separate teams were using the same design, style sheets and html snippets using Code pen to keep the look consistent across all the products.
This meant that internal developers could access it but also external agencies could see the guide when work was contracted out.
I regularly ran meetings with the stakeholders to review product changes and ensure that the latest guidelines were being adhered to. This is a constant cycle ensuring that the guide develops as more product features are created.
